A quick history of Belle

Belle is a beautiful woman living in a small French town. She is known throughout the town as being the most beautiful woman hence where she gets the name Beauty. Belle’s father becomes imprisoned inside a dungeon in a castle far away from home. Belle being the compassionate person she is, offers her freedom in exchange for her fathers, upon which this request is granted. The dungeon master that she offers her freedom to happens to be a hideous creature, known as Beast. Belle eventually falls in love with Beast throughout the story as she warms up to him and sees the good in him. Belle made her first Disney appearance in Beauty and the Beast in 1991. She was created by Linda Woolverton and voiced by Paige O’Hara and Jodi Benson.
